The Buffalo Bills head to L.A. after making a 35-10 win vs the SF 49ers look easy. That's seven straight wins as they make a run for the AFC top seed going 6-1 against the spread. This team is just playing outstanding football right now.
The L.A. Rams picked up a win last week against New Orleans putting them at 3-2 straight up over the last 5 games.
To their credit, the Rams have been able to get a decent run game going the past few weeks and they'll look to continue that today to keep the ball out of Josh Allens hands. The problem is, when playing from behind that run game starts to work against you as the clock ticks away. The Rams 25th ranked defense has to keep this high powered top 3 scoring offense out of the end zone to make that work. I don't see it happening.
I try to keep my handicapping as simple as possible, and to me this game is exactly that. A top 10 offense with a play making star at QB vs a bottom tier defense whose offense has given up 7 turnovers in the last 3 games.
I expect the Bills to come out guns blazing, taking the early lead and keeping it through out the game. Look for James Cook to have a great game as L.A. has showed they have some difficulty stopping the run. Surely this opens up the field for Josh Allen who we already know will scramble for first downs and make plays that will demoralize the Rams defense. This game could easily be a blowout, but I expect the Bills to win by somewhere in the ten to fourteen point range. Lay the 3.5 points and I'll see you at the window!
