The Phoenix Suns head to Los Angeles for a Pacific Division matchup against the LA Lakers.
The Lakers have lost four straight on the road and now return home with potentially defeated morale and they are certainly banged up with injuries.
As I write this, it looks like the Lakers will be without LeBron James, and Luka Doncic is also on the report as questionable. The Lakers were sitting pretty, but suddenly find themselves in fifth place in the Western Conference and might miss out on an automatic playoff spot, leaving them to fight for a play-in position.

The Suns have been horrible, especially on the road, but they have won four of five against LA, and this is a winnable game for them. The Suns have secured victories in the last two encounters against the Lakers, achieving winning scores of 109-105 and 127-100 at the Footprint Center. Don't look now, but they've sneakily gone 7-3 against the spread in their last ten games.
Following a decisive 122-106 victory over the Sacramento Kings, the Suns, led by Devin Booker and Kevin Durant, are amazingly somehow poised to secure consecutive wins for the first time this season. Their ability to score from anywhere on the court will undoubtedly challenge the Lakers' defense, which is already weakened by injuries.
The Lakers' injury issues, especially with LeBron James and Luka Doncic expected to miss the game, strongly shift the odds in favor of the Suns here. In the absence of these key players, the Lakers will depend significantly on Austin Reaves and Dalton Knecht. Although they have shown promise in recent performances, they may find it challenging to rival the offensive capabilities of Booker and Durant.
I think Kevin Durant and the Suns come out firing and find a way to pull off the road upset. I'll be taking the points with the Suns against a banged up team who really just want some rest.
